Summary

A democratic infrastructure for all communities in the UK (as part of a comprehensive community resource), with pilots funded by Somerset County Council and The Ministry of Justice in the name of "Building Democracy".

LocalEyes was hailed as "The One To Watch" in Gordon Brown's social innovation competition 2008 (The Catalyst Awards). With funding from NESTA, a business plan to enable a nationwide rollout has been created.

Numerous Transition initiatives are gearing up to pilot LocalEyes as a means to engaging and empowering people in building sustainable and resilient communities in the face of "Peak Oil" and "Climate Change".
